We were recently awarded a contract to provide Facilities Management and Engineering Services to Chevron. With that said, we have a number of positions that we are looking to fill!

Director of Facilities Management at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center

Description: Directs the facility management and maintenance for five Centers, totaling 170,000 square feet, including  equipment, systems, structures and grounds; interiors, exterior, utility services, fire prevention and protection systems, various environmental programs (e.g. hazardous waste disposal, waste water monitoring, etc.), patient safety and security programs, new construction project coordination, departmental contract services, housekeeping, internal and external customer support services.  Oversees the mailroom operation in the Baton Rouge Center.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred although experience may be a substitute
  • Managerial/supervisory experience in facilities operations & maintenance required
  • Knowledge of commercial facilities' electrical & mechanical systems, construction materials & methods, federal, state and local codes, safety laws & procedures
  • Ability to handle multiple administrative tasks at once, work with interruptions and prepare & present information to groups

Job description: The successful Building Supervisor advances the museum’s mission by: ensuring that the building systems are operating at an optimal level; maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment and facility; directing and supervising the custodial staff; overseeing contractors for building and equipment maintenance; and by coordinating with the museum’s operational staff for the use of LASM’s facilities for programs and events.

LASM’s Mission: The Louisiana Art & Science Museum seeks to enhance the understanding and appreciation of art and science for general audiences and students by presenting unique, educational and entertaining experiences that encourage discovery, inspire creativity, and foster the pursuit of knowledge.
